The Town of Georgina's Multi-Use Recreation Complex (MURC) represents a significant endeavor as the largest capital project undertaken by the Town. This visionary project seeks to address the expanding needs of the community by creating a versatile community center. The MURC will house various athletic facilities, an aquatic center, library, and a range of multi-purpose spaces. Additionally, it includes outdoor recreation areas, passive spaces, and pedestrian plazas. Construction commenced in Fall 2021, with an expected completion date in Fall 2023.
Code Consultant Expertise: CodeNext Inc. played a critical role in the MURC project, serving as the Code Consultant. Our contributions encompassed expert Building Code drawing reviews, meticulous preparation of Building Code review reports, and addressing any Code challenges raised by the design team.
