CodeNext Inc. proudly joined the ON-LINX multidisciplinary team for the Ontario Line South transit project. Our involvement centered around conducting comprehensive life safety Code reviews for the design of seven distinct transit stations. Each station presented its own unique features and challenges, further complicating the project's landscape.
CodeNexts key contributions include:
Diverse Station Designs: The project encompassed stations with varying characteristics, including standalone facilities and interfaces with Toronto's existing TTC subway stations and underground PATH system.
Complex Code Analysis: Our team conducted intricate Code analysis, covering sections of the Ontario Building Code specific to rapid transit stations (OBC Section 3.13) and national standards like NFPA 130.
Navigating Challenges: Despite evolving designs, changing stakeholder demands, and tight timelines, CodeNext provided unwavering support to the design team, ensuring the pursuit of desired designs.
Stakeholder Engagement: CodeNext actively engaged with stakeholders, presenting our approach to Code compliance, and collaborating closely with the project team.
